It’s importance is not reflected in the number of good recipes. There is only one.
Be-ro, the classic and original recipe book contains a recipe with masses of cheese -exactly what you want.
So many recipes have a pathetic amount in them.
I bought Lisa Faulkner’s Afternoon Tea book and although it’s still decent book, the only cheese in the scone recipe was sprinkled on top.
Thats not a cheese scone, that’s a plain scone with cheese sprinkled on top.
But after looking around for recipes, She’s not the only guilty one.
I didn’t need a recipe, I just wanted to look around to test for something better.
